Khulna University

It is located in Khulna city in the southern part of Bangladesh. Khulna University is a government university. This is a college in Bangladesh where students are politically free.

History of Khulna University In 1984. The report of the Kudrat-i-Khuda Education Commission recommended the establishment of a university for higher education in the Khulna division. On 10 November 1969, the then government cabinet decided to establish a university in Khulna. According to Section 5 (1) G of the University Grants Commission Ordinance, a proposal was submitted to the government in 1983 to set up a university in Khulna Division. The final decision to establish Khulna University was taken on 16 December 1966. The final decision to establish Khulna University was announced in the Gazette on January 4, 1986. On March 9, 1989, the then President Hussein Muhammad Ershad laid the foundation stone of Khulna University. August 1, 1989, Professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering. Golam Rahman was appointed as the first project director of this university and later as the first vice chancellor of the university. On 31 July 1990, the Khulna University Act was passed in the Parliament which governs the rules of procedure of the institution. Finally, on 25 November 1991, the academic activities were officially inaugurated by the then Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. From that year, Khulna University started its journey with 80 students in four disciplines.
