Thee Bagerhat Museum is located 
on the old Rupsha Road in the south-east corner of the sixty-domed mosque at Sundarghona in Bagerhat district. The construction work of the museum was started in a joint venture of UNESCO-Bangladesh government covering an area of 520 square meters. The Bagerhat Museum was opened to the public in September 2001. In 1983, an

international petition was filed for the preservation of Muslim culture and the memory of Khanjahan Ali Islamic architecture has been given prominence in the construction of the museum building adjacent to the sixty-domed mosque. The 3-gallery south-facing museum has the opportunity to view archeological artifacts collected from different parts of Bagerhat as well as learn about the ancient history of Bagerhat. Admission schedule The Bagerhat Museum is open from 10 am to 6 pm in summer and from 9 am to 5 pm in winter. And the museum is closed every day from 1 pm to 1:30 pm on a temporary break.
