KhulKhulnana University of Engineering and Technology (KUET)

There is a lot to see here for the purpose of travel. KhulKhulnana University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) is one of the best engineering universities in Bangladesh. It is located in the Khulna district of the Khulna division of southern Bangladesh. Formerly it was called Bangladesh Institute of Technology, Khulna and before that, Khulna College of Engineering. It is one of the best universities in Bangladesh. About 6,000 students are studying undergraduate and postgraduate engineering and science here. The number of teachers here is more than 556. Besides, there are 132 officers and 425 employees. Some new buildings have been constructed to expand the campus of the university such as academic building, auditorium complex, dormitory, library, teacher dormitory building etc. and some more buildings are under construction. The university campus is 14 km from Khulna city. To the north, it is located at Phulbarigate on the Jessore-Khulna highway.
History of University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) is one of the leading public universities in Bangladesh. Kuwait is well known for its high quality education, engineering as well as major branches of basic sciences for research and development programs. The current demand in the country and especially in the South West region is to achieve a quality education, research and advancement which is the main objective of Kuwait which has made it a “best center”. Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) was established in 1986 as Khulna Engineering College under the Faculty of Engineering of Rajshahi University. Under the direction of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the organization started its intended journey on 3rd June 1984.
Later, to ensure better academic and research capacity and environment, it was transformed from an autonomous institution to Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT), Khulna in 1984. Khulna University of Engineering and Technology was upgraded from BIT on September 1, 2003 and renamed to meet the needs of the age in the field of academics and research.
Khulna Engineering College started its journey in 1984 with only 9 teachers and 120 students. In Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, 40 students were admitted, one of whom was a student. Later, 1 more female student and 15 male students were added from other colleges through migration. The total number of students is 136. After 2 years, the number of students in each department was increased to 60. There was only one dormitory named 1st Hostel which was later renamed as Fazlul Haque Hall. A temporary canteen was set up in the boiler house of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Although the lab of Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department was completed in Khulna, the 1st year lab of Mechanical Engineering Department is in BUET and the 2nd year is in Rajshahi Engineering College, whose current name is RUET. The road connecting Khulna to Jessore Highway connecting the college was constructed in 1986. Although there were no officers in the college, there were 10 3rd class and 39 4th class employees. Later 3 more dormitories were built for the students but there was no dormitory. The Khulna Engineering College had 333 students in Civil Engineering, 246 students in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and 138 students in Mechanical Engineering.

From any part of Bengal, Khulna bus stand from here to Fulbarigate, Kuwait University, and if anyone comes to Jessore district, they will also go down to Fulbarigate Fulbarigate from there by rickshaw to Kuwait Engineering University,
